Terms of Use
The conditions governing use of the software and this documentation.
Public beta terms · version 2026-10-08. These are the current public terms for the documented Uptokey beta. Rights to copy, modify or redistribute a particular component come from the license shipped with that exact component or artifact.
What the terms cover
- Use of the software under its license.
- Use of this documentation and the project's public materials.
- The service marks and brand usage boundaries (trademark note).
- The beta is supplied for evaluation and is provided "as is", without a promise of uninterrupted availability. Warranty and liability terms in the applicable component license remain controlling for that component.
- You are responsible for authorization to use connected accounts, models, files and services, and for reviewing provider charges and applicable policies before sending a request.
What the terms deliberately do not change
- Your provider relationships. Your accounts with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and every other provider are governed by their terms — Uptokey's terms neither add to nor replace them (provider data flows).
- Your data. The privacy facts describe where data lives; no term of use claims custody over it.
Changes
Material changes receive a new version/date and are noted in the changelog. A later version does not silently rewrite the notice supplied with an earlier artifact.
